Hisao Yamasaki is the founder and chief executive officer of Syndefense Inc. Before Syndefense, Hisao served as the head of strategy and planning at the Office of Society-Academia Collaboration for Innovation of Kyoto University, professor in the faculty of the Graduate School of Intellectual Property at the Osaka Institute of Technology, and the president of RPX Asia. Hisao also held a 25-year career at Hitachi, Ltd. as the general manager of IP business development and licensing, responsible for all business aspects of intellectual property assets, including licensing strategies and operations and patent portfolio balancing transactions. Hisao serves as the chief executive officer of RADDAR-J for Society Inc., the chief executive officer of Geno Concierge Kyoto, president of Unified Patents Asia, vice president of LOT Network, Inc., senior counselor of intellectual property, legal and licensing of the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) and AIST Solutions Company.

Through those 38+ years global experiences, in addition to his outstanding track record as an intellectual property strategist, he supports companies, academia and research institutes with his experiences on business administration and development, marketing, M&A, intellectual property license and litigation, start-up and commercialization of research results.
